So it is!!
This Friday I will be off to Alta in the very north of Norway! maps.google.se/maps?q=alta+nor…
I'm going to a folk high school called Øytun folkehøgskole, to study nature photography for a year and I'm so excited!! It's a boarding school with a focus on the outdoor life so there will be a lot of hiking trips, not only in Norway but in Finland, Iceland, Greenland and Russia as well.

I'll be there from August 17 - May 12, and apart from nature photography I'll also take smaller courses in dog sledding, reindeer husbandry, Sami culture and "outdoor life on water" including everything from kayaking in the Alta fjord to ice climbing.

Since Alta is so far north the sun will never rise during a few months between November and January, but hopefully the snow will make it a bit brighter and then there is always the possibility to see northern lights (and I've read that it might be a lot of solar activity this year ).

I was thinking a little about buying a Canon EOS 7D, is this a good choice?

I never thought I would get the chance to work as a paid photographer. Not with so many amazing photographers out there, and so few jobs. But obviously I was wrong.

This morning I received a surprising message in my flickr mail. It was from a woman from the United States who told me she was working as a Photographer Recruiter at Airbnb, a company that connects travelers with local hosts who offer accommodation across the world.

Now they were looking for freelance photographers around my area, and she had found my flickr account and wanted me to join their photo team.

!!!

I will be shooting the properties of the hosts, so it will be some architecture photography I believe. I'm so looking forward to start, and any tips will be more than appreciated, because I want to be able to do as good a job as possible!

This week has been great, it started with a wonderful trip to Poland, where I visited my sweet friend TalviEnkeli and her lovely family! When I got back home I went to a Swedish national park called Söderåsen for a day and did some photography. I also went to a Bob Dylan/Mark Knopfler concert, and even though Dylan had no voice left at all, Knopfler was amazing!!
The last two days I've been celebrating my younger siblings', t-i-l-d and Jakob, 18th birthday, which is a pretty big day here because that's when you come of age in Sweden

But this isn't all. Tomorrow I will be off to Israel with my older sister JohannaMaria and I'm so excited!! We'll stay there for 16 days, and we have planned a lot of traveling around the country and we'll also make a day trip to Petra in Jordan. I'm pretty sure it will be amazing! But this also means that I won't be very active on dA during this time.. not that I have been recently anyway, but still

I'm looking forward to check out all your new work when I get back home, and hopefully I will have something new to show you too! Bye for now!

Last Sunday I joined a Scott Kelby photowalk in Malmö, Sweden. Even though I didn't get that many interesting pictures it was really fun and I got to meet many talented photographers In the end of the walk one of the women came to talk to me and said that she absolutely wanted me as a model, and that I was welcome home to her and her studio! For one thing, I'm pretty sure I'm an awful model since I've never done any of that stuff.. and I dislike photos of myself hehe, that's one reason why I'm always behind the camera! ..but still I guess I could learn quite some from her about people photography so.. what should I do?

...and as a little extra, I just booked tickets to Poland in the end of this month, to go and visit my friend TalviEnkeli! I'm really looking forward to it!
